Kravis Center for the Performing Arts continues its 2024–2025 LIVE AMPLIFIED! Season this February with a dynamic lineup of audience favorites and exciting first-time Kravis engagements. Highlights include a celebration of Black History Month with the 19th Annual African American Film Festival, the soul-stirring return of the annual Gospel Gala featuring Kierra Sheard-Kelly and the Kravis On Broadway return of PETER PAN. The month also features Improv comedians Ryan Hamilton and Nick SwardsonTrailblazing Women of Country: A Tribute to Patsy, Loretta, and Dolly, performer, host, writer and designer Isaac MizrahiKravis Classical Concert Series Daniel Hope, and the Polish Chamber Orchestra of Sinfonia Varsovia. Joy of Movement

In this adult dance class, all levels are welcome and appreciated. Inspired by great music, participants will experience the broader themes of dance. Palm Beach Improv & Kravis Center Present

Armed with the unique perspective of growing up in rural Idaho to become a favorite in the New York stand-up comedy scene, RYAN HAMILTON is one-of-a-kind. He’s been named one of Rolling Stone’s Five Comics to Watch, and recent appearances include The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and opening spots for Jerry Seinfeld as well as Gad Elmaleh at Carnegie Hall. Ryan is endearing stand-up lovers, and his future is bright. Since 2012, New York City Ballet has brought together some of the most celebrated talents in fashion and dance with its Fall Fashion Gala. Under the guidance of Director of Costumes Marc Happel, NYCB has commissioned over 30 designer and choreographer collaborations that have premiered at the iconic annual event each fall. Marc Happel, joined by Gianna Reisen, choreographer of NYCB Fall-Fashion Gala, will discuss the creative process of partnering with some of the world’s most sought-after fashion designers and his 2023 book New York City Ballet: Choreography & Couture.

Pari Dukovic: En Pointe – Dance & Fashion
February 11 – July 1, 2025

The Pari Dukovic: En Pointe – Dance & Fashion is a contemporary fine art gallery which highlights established and emerging artists. This limited exhibition at the Kravis Center features 25 photographs by multi-award-winning photographer Pari Dukovic. The artwork includes a decade of nearly 30 high-fashion designers’ costumes created for the New York City Ballet (NYCB)’s annual Fall Fashion Gala, which was conceived by Sarah Jessica Parker in 2012. Dukovic shot the couture designs on 11 of the ballet’s renowned dancers for the Rizzoli book, New York City Ballet: Choreography & Couture, by NYCB Director of Costumes Marc Happel.

MIKE BIRBIGLIA is a comedian, writer, director and actor who has performed his award-winning solo shows worldwide—from the Sydney Opera House to the West End of London to Broadway. His five solo shows “Sleepwalk With Me,” “My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend,” “Thank God For Jokes,” “The New One” and “The Old Man & The Pool” enjoyed successful runs on and off Broadway and became hit Netflix comedy specials.
The shows merge storytelling and comedy in a way that The New York Times has called “Birbiglian.” Birbiglia also wrote, directed and starred in the films “Sleepwalk with Me” and “Don’t Think Twice.” As an actor, Birbiglia has appeared in the films “Trainwreck,” “The Fault in Our Stars,” “Popstar,” “A Man Called Otto” as well as TV roles in “Orange Is the New Black” and “Billions.” He hosts the podcast “Mike Birbiglia’s Working It Out.”

Book Launch: “Giant Love” by Julie Gilbert

Daniel Hope and the Polish Chamber Orchestra of Sinfonia Varsovia

After last season’s stunning ‘America’ program, master violinist, Daniel Hope, returns with his award-winning project, Journey to Mozart. As the last protégé of legendary violinist Yehudi Menuhin, Daniel Hope will be joined by the ensemble with which Menuhin performed the most, the Polish Chamber Orchestra of Sinfonia Varsovia. Together they will explore the musical period from 1760-1810, before, after and around Mozart’s life—through his violin works, as well as his contemporaries like Gluck and Haydn.

National Geographic LIVE: Alicia Odewale
Black Wall Street – Stories of Resilience

In the century since the attack on Black Wall Street in the vibrant Greenwood district of Tulsa, Oklahoma, stories of resilience have emerged. The Tulsa Race Massacre left a devastating toll on generations of survivors and their descendants and changed the very footprint of the city in one of the worst episodes of racial violence committed against Black people in American history. Archaeologist and Tulsa native Alicia Odewale has revealed powerful stories of resilience through her work. Join her to discover how archaeology can be used as a tool for recovering lost stories, reclaiming hidden narratives, and pursuing restorative justice.

Nick Swardson

A comedian, actor, writer and producer, Nick Swardson’s unique comedic view has established him as a force in the film and TV sphere and as a prolific stand-up comic. As a standup, Swardson recently visited theaters in over 50 cities as a part of his “Make Joke From Face Tour”. Swardson also tours regularly on a bill with Adam Sandler, David Spade and Rob Schneider. Swardson appeared in Netflix’s series, COMEDIANS of the World (2019), where he was one of four comedians selected to represent the United States. He starred in two one-hour specials for Comedy Central, Nick Swardson: Taste It (2015) and Nick Swardson: Seriously, Who Farted (2010), a half-hour Comedy Central Presents special (2006), and his first comedy album, Party (2007), was certified Platinum.
