Job Description:
We are seeking a full time Production Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible to act in all needs of production support and safety for all Kravis Center events and equipment, and for keeping the Center’s Production inventory properly maintained. This position requires a primary focus on production electrician skillsets.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lighting focused. Primary production electrician including, hanging, circuiting, focus, programming and running lighting for all Kravis Center venues.
- Safely operates and maintains all Kravis Center’s theatrical and production equipment in All event spaces, Kravis vehicles, and acting as visiting production off Kravis Campus
- Assists in all areas of technical/production operations as required by the Production Management team/ Director of Production
- Assists in the set-up and maintenance of all rental equipment for the Kravis Center productions.
- Responsible for table and chair setups in education and theater spaces.
- Assists in all duties as assigned by Production Management team/Director of Production/ and VP of Operations
- Adheres to all safety procedures and maintains safe conditions throughout the campus, in Kravis vehicles, and while acting as visiting production off Kravis campus.
- Maintains organized and efficient workspace in building shops and maintenance areas.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Must be a team-oriented individual, work well with others, and enjoy cross-training and flexible work assignments.
- Experience with Grand MA2, and ETC EOS family consoles. LED and Automated lighting implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting Experience in live theater and /or corporate events preferred. Use of Vectorworks and Lightwright software are desirable.
- Minimum one year experience in applicable phases of professional theatre to include carpentry, sound, lighting, rigging and properties (for independent assignment to more technical tasks)
- Experience in video production, including live video switching, camera operations, and live streaming a plus.
- Must be a self-starter who takes the initiative to correct problems as they arise.
- Must have a positive “can do” personality with a strong desire to work well with others.
- Able to develop and follow routine maintenance schedules.
- Able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Requires heavy lifting and at times very physical.
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
