Manager of Community Outreach – Full-time

The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a passionate and dynamic Community Outreach Manager to serve as a liaison between the Center and the local community, with a focus on underserved populations. This role will foster partnerships, create access to the performing arts for all segments of the community, and represent the Kravis Center at key cultural and community events.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Community Liaison: Build relationships with local non-profits, community leaders, and stakeholders to engage underserved communities. Act as the primary liaison for events such as the PEAK Series, Gospel Gala, Electric Root residency, and off-site community events/festivals.
  • Accessibility Initiatives: Collaborate with non-profits to develop and promote subsidized ticket programing initiative, increasing accessibility to Kravis Center performances for low-income and underserved populations. Work with artists to create community-centered engagement opportunities.
  • Ambassadorship: Represent the Kravis Center at public and cultural events, promoting its mission and programs to enhance visibility within the community.
  • Internal Collaboration: Partner with departments such as Programming, Marketing, Education, and Box Office to align community engagement strategies with organizational goals. Assist with cross-departmental initiatives like National Dance Day, the Kravis Center Block Party, Immigrant Community programs and community-based exhibitions.  Serve as Community Relations Committee staff liaison.
  • Program Implementation: Coordinate and assist with community events, including the PEAK Series and community-based exhibitions. Gather feedback and data to improve outreach efforts.  Develop key performance indicators to help measure results and guide programs.
  • Mission & Communication: Communicate the Kravis Center’s mission clearly and effectively, ensuring it aligns with community engagement initiatives. Develop and execute public relations strategies to promote inclusivity and accessibility within the arts.

 

 Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in arts administration, communications, marketing, or related field.
  • Excellent writing, organizational, and analytical skills, as well as exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of performing arts and community development strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects.
  • Availability for flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
